Also known as pre-soldering, which has nothing to do with driving a car. Rather, the word in the youth language of the 20th century called the planned intake of alcohol for the purpose of raising the mood before attending a party. There it usually came to a full tank, at some point to full intoxication and at the end occasionally to an abrupt emptying of the tank.
