Again and again beginners get on the skis for the first time. But how should we name those among the novices who do this from an early age? A nice vocabulary from Austria helps, the snow flea. You can literally see them in front of you, the little snow bunnies, wrapped up in the warmest clothes, bulky shoes and peeking out from under thick bobble hats with reddened cheeks. The Pistenflöhe are recommended for inclusion in the general German vocabulary.
